Leslie's 5th book received an honorable mention in the 2015 Independent Scholar Category for the Center of Archival Collections' Local History Publication award.


April 26-29 – OHIO GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY convention at Kalahari. Leslie will be representing the history of Kelleys Island and the Kelleys Island Historical Assoc. at this convention. Stop by and say hello.


May 20 - INTERNATIONAL MUSEUM DAY and the Kelleys Island History Museum celebrates with FREE admission and a special display on old time kitchens. www.KelleysIslandHistorical.org and on Facebook: Kelleys Island History Museum -  Leslie will be there all day signing her books.


July 15 – ISLANDFEST – The largest festival of the summer. Games, entertainment, shopping, and loads of activities that change each year. Leslie will be in the downtown park on Saturday..


August 5 - ARTS & CRAFTS SHOW at the History Museum – Leslie will be on the porch signing her books and posters. You can’t miss the tents in front of the church on Division St. Remember to tour the museum (it is free that day) and the old stone church.


August 19 – HOMECOMING 10-4 pm – This annual gathering takes place in the park on Addison Street (right around the corner from Inscription Rock and Addison Kelley’s mansion. There will be food, entertainment, competitions, a bounce castle for the kids, and of course, a shoppers mart. Leslie will be signing her books and talking history at this event.


August 25 – HURON GARDENING CLUB – Leslie meets with these avid gardeners for a tour of the Island.


September 9 – ISLAND WIDE YARD SALE & BUTTERFLY FESTIVAL – Leslie will be on hand signing books. You can’t miss all the tables set up on the history museum grounds. It is the largest yard sale on the Island.


October 16 from 1 pm – 7 pm - WINE FEST & ART FAIR AT THE KELLEYS ISLAND WINE CO. on Woodford Road. This event combines all the things you love about fall! Food, free wine tastings and raffles provide fun for the whole family. Live music by the Wine Co.'s house band, the Naked Bacon Band, rounds out this event into the perfect fall Saturday. Island vendors & artists will show you how talented they are and Leslie will be there with her posters and books.
